Joyce Lynn has been singing since the age of two.  Her musical journey has taken her from the church and school environment to performing at the Apollo Theater in New York City and on a Billy Graham Praise Team.  Joyce Lynn’s debut CD “Counting My Blessings” and her Christmas project “Give Them Time” and her most recent release “A Tribute to Military Women” are examples of  how her gift is being used to touch the world with songs of Encouragement, Love and an awareness of the most important areas in life – God, Family and our Fellowman.

Joyce Lynn realized the importance of education at an early age.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Nazareth College in Michigan and a Master of Arts degree in Health Services Management from Webster University in Texas.  Other educational pursuits include the Blackwell Academy for the Performing Arts and the Dick Grove School of Music, both in Hollywood, California.  After receiving her BSN, she joined the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and achieved the rank of Captain during her 3 year active duty commitment.  She was assigned to Company A Troop Command Brooke Army Medical Center- Health Science Center and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas.  Her MOS was 66J, Clinical Nurse. She is currently a Nurse Manager in the VA Healthcare System. In November 2009, she was honored as the first female “Veteran of The Year” by the Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch of the NAACP.

Joyce Lynn’s diverse experience parallels her musical abilities; she has appeared on numerous Christian television programs (English and Spanish), ministered at Women’s Conferences and seminars including Evelyn Christianson’s “Lord Change Me”, Anne Graham-Lotz’s “For Such A Time As This” and Gigi Graham-Tchividjian’s “One in the Spirit True to the Faith”.  She was also honored to serve on the praise team of the 1997 Southwest Texas Billy Graham Crusade.  She has also supported other artists including Mary Kathryn’s “Perfect Gift”, Castle Hills First Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas “Favorite Song” and has served as a studio vocalist, soloist or background singer during live performances.  She was a background vocalist for Carman  at Six Flags over Fiesta Texas and she has served as a background vocalist for such notable  artists as Thelma Houston , Little Richard and Kirk Whalum.  Joyce Lynn has also sung the National Anthem for San Antonio Spurs, The Whitecaps, and The Rampage and for other events of all kinds.

She is currently seeking to enlighten others to the contributions of military women through the years by highlighting women who have served from all eras, in a slideshow presentation accompanied by her song “A Tribute to Military Women”.  It is her hope that this effort will provide a platform for discussion and recognition of women who have and are currently serving in the US Military and underscore the level of sacrifice being made by women to Keep America Strong!
